Seven deadly sins. Human vices God is said to hate,

Each of these actions doom Christians to their fate.

If hell is hot and full of sulphur,

What fate do these Christians suffer?

The blood of the Lamb doesn’t wash away these sins;

These vices are humanity and will be until the end.

GREED

“Meet Viriginia” plays on the radio and instantly I think of you;

A snake in the grass from my childhood, merci beaucoup.

Well she wants to be the queen; courting Christ to save her;

But the son of God preaches against her behavior.

Devout, pious, and holy on the days when it matters;

Stealing more money than any of her pastors.

Taking care of little old ladies with no attachment;

Wearing the guise of a helpful Christian lady hides the entrapment.

When she got caught she had to wear an ankle monitor;

Her crime embezzlement, her spirit an idolator.

She took me in as a teen when my mother left;

Thankfully she got tired of me, her depressed guest.

“Time to go home, I can’t have you here,” she rumbles;

On her second divorce as her life crumbles.
